Crank

Some days, you just want a mindless film to relax with. Sure, you could spend $30-40 at a theater, pick any random movie, and probably get just that. But sometimes, staying home and sitting on your ass just sounds better. This is the movie you want to watch on those days.

This is as close to a perfect action film as you will ever find. Crank, which centers around a hit man named Chev Chelios, starts fast, moves fast, and ends fast. Just like the (thin) plot, Crank is an adrenaline rush, rarely giving the audience time to breathe. From minute one, you discover Chev has been poisoned and will die. To survive (albeit for only a short time), hired killer Chelios must keep his adrenaline pumping long enough to find those who betrayed him and kill them. He tells the audience he will die, and die he does. That certainly is no spoiler, you expect it all along (though a sequel is on the way, so death is nothing permanent). This is not a film about twists and romance and intrigue, but action. And Crank achieves it. Perfection.
