This is it. The definitive Batman film, the one that will never be forgotten. It has managed to transcend the comic book genre and reach into the crime genre. Easier said than done. Nolan improved upon his Batman Begins and created something epic. It is a big movie, a popcorn movie, but it is also deep and dark and dramatic. Don't expect anything like this again soon. Of course, what kind of The Dark Knight review would this be if it didn't include slobbering lovefest for Heath Ledger's the Joker. Bad ass. One of the most frightening, evil, hypnotic villains ever portrayed on screen. Is there anything else you can say? Whiners beware, he will be nominated for Best Supporting Actor and there is a damn good chance he'll win. If you like movies, see The Dark Knight. Action, drama, suspense, crime.
